"F.U. Don't Take It Personal" is a very slammin' album! Chip Fu has got
to be the fastest rapper, regardless of what people say about Daddy Freddy. In
the little interlude before "Ring the Alarm", he rhymes backwards! It is the
dopest shit I have heard. Good purchase.

Well, you could make an argument for Tung Twista being even faster than Chip
Fu, especially after hearing his first single - which would have been all that
if it weren't for that Wolfman Jack sound-alike scrub scattered throughout
the whole thing.

The part where Chip Fu rhymes backwards is on that track "Movie Scene," and
he adds in a few other backwards words on "True Fuschnick" as well. It was
"La Schmoove" though, that turned me on to that album - maybe only 'cause
I'm a big Quest fan, but that's another story.

Tung Twista may be faster, but as for quality I'd have to give it to Chip Fu.

Hey, speaking of Tung Twista, his album has been slept on here, and I don't
know if it's worth the loot or not, or I might have gotten it already. What's
that 411, y'all?

Book of Records for this. He appeared in Yo Mtv Raps with a person of this

Hmm, I don't know... a real oldie comes to mind. From EMI's Rap Division,
by The Jazz... song: The Originators. A true old-school song. But anyway,
I don't think I've heard anyone rap faster than he.. whatever, has anyone
else heard this song (I believe it came out on 8-track...)..

All that being fast shit is cool and all, but if you fast and ain't saying
shit, you still booty, which is what I think of Tung Twista, who I can barely
understand. The speed is only a gimmick(IMO9 to cover up the fact that he has
no skills. Yes, I am biased, because I have only heard one song from him, and
not a whole album, although I don't even know if one is out yet. But until I
hear something else from him and say, "That shit was a'ight", I will regard him
as being booty, fast as hell, but BOOTY!

I g'won hafta say that I don't really give a fuck who raps faster(fastest even)
because true skills involve poetry and not just saying a bunch a words
faster than anyone else. I've heard some shit by Tung Twista and
straight up....that muddafucka is BUTT!! Chip Fu is niiiice.... So I
give him 'nuff props for combine the quickness with flavor....besides if
anyone has seen Twista second (bullshit ass!) video, I'd say money fell
off...but then again he was never really up there.....
(If his claim to fame is speed then he is a fraud, because his claim
should be style and lyrics....if I was him I flee the hip hop scene and
concentrate on speeding up speaking so I could set another guiness book
record...)

outta here like Kojak,
The Sauce...

Chip-Fu does something I've never heard before: he raps in sixteenth
notes!! It's become pretty common to use triplets (When Q-Tip does it,
they're sweet), and in fact raggamuffin makes extensive use of triplets.
But Chip-Fu can throw FOUR syllables into a beat at a fairly quick tempo.
This is exactly what Charlie Parker did, in the 40's. I think that rap
is starting to imitate bebop. Think about it: bebop imitated speech.
Rap IS a kind of speech. The two are closely related.

WORD! This is the kinda stuff we should be talking about in alt.rap . This
isn't alt.whitey-hates-blacky or alt.blacky-hates-whitey. This is alt.rap,
let's talk about rap.
