Remember back in 'Da Day' when your cassette playing boom box was all
the rage and all the Inner City Kids were breakdancing and bustin' moves
to the omnipresent boombox pumping at 10?
i wonder where in the HELL did those poor MF's get the money for the
batteries to power those gluttons?
i know from personal experience [i used to use a boombox as my car sound
system] that those things EAT BATTERIES LIKE CRAZY.
Did they steal them? did sympathetic merchants donate them or did they
buy them with your tax dollars?
i wonder if there was some kind of special fund underwritten [whole or
partially] by the government to help 'disadvantaged' [read
black/minority] youths discover their 'cultural and artistic' selves in
their own 'modern unique style'?
Sounds damn plausible, and likely, to me.
