Can someone help with the name of a Google Group that discusses railroad accidents and the reporting of them.
In the late 1950s or early 1960s there was an accident in or near Houston MS or Tupelo MS where a unique locomotive known as the Ingalls 4-S hit a derail device and rolled down an embankment, requiring repairs over several weeks in Mobile AL.
The loco was running a GM&O 'local' out of Jackson TN (possibly train 30 or 32??) and normally back to Jackson TN.
Have tried many many accident report sites and GM&O related groups and still have not come up with a date even. Google ' GulfLive Ingalls 4-S' and you will see details. Does anyone know of Harris G Wood ?
