Does anyone know what happened to Mark Meadowcroft on Hallam FM? I used to listen to his
phone in show before I discovered Talk Radio.

By the way: It's TR not TRUK :)

:-) This was discussed at the time. Originally the filter was going
to be just "TR", but someone said that his newsreader had trouble
filtering on only 2 characters (this was the guy called "pointless"
by the way).

Someone else then suggested that we expand it to TRUK - even though
it wasn't TRUK, it was a stamp we were all familiar with at the time!

I was in London last week, and was surprised to hear him doing the financial
news on News Direct.

After Hallam, (I seem to remember he left after some comments about the
Dunblane charity record), he did a stint on Radio Sheffield doing the sports
news.

Couldn't stand the man myself...

Certainly do, and there is some relevant to TR here. He presented a
phone in show on Hallam for a year or so then quit on air. Not
surprising really considering the shite he had to speak to. Hes
currently working for Independent Radio News and seems involved with
the sports and business reporting.
