As always, Laura is Miss Hypocrisy. She is speaking at the Balance
Expo for Women, which is about balancing family, career, health etc.
Of course, Laura says on her show that balance is impossible - women
must make choices. This won't stop her from cashing the check,
however.
This is a pretty low-rent event. The "celebrities" are DL, two soap
opera actors, the Texas Beef Council chef, and a reject from The
Apprentice. What's next in Laura's career - county fairs, dinner
theater or product demos?
Laura's public appearances are usually very strictly controlled. At
her one-woman shows, the steep ticket prices keep out the riff-raff
and she only answers pre-written questions. At her book signings, she
has lots of security guards around her. This event seems looser.
Tickets are free in advance/$5 at the door. It looks like she will be
on a stage in the main exhibition hall. I encourage anyone in Austin
to go and heckle her.
She is talking about Yoga. WTF? I guess a PhD in rat guts makes her
an expert on yoga also.

So why does she assume that other working mothers aren't doing the
same thing?
I also don't agree that everyone needs to be married with children to
be fulfilled in life. Certainly Christianity - the religion of most of
her listeners - esteems the single state equally with the married
state. I also don't agree with her view on gender roles. What does
"masculinity" and "femininity" have to do with morality, anyway?

SAME MISTAKE I MADE.
I was almost going into a pity-the-poor-has-been mode, after viewing
the drugery of the non-event Expo in Austin. Realizing the most she
had going for her to upstart that vindication hoax was a doughy

It was a pitiable fall from her high-falooten pinacle with Bill
Ballance. As hard as she tries she just can't make it back up.

I've read it 3 or more times to see if I'm missing something, she's
not so narcissically shallow that she would leave out Mike Cash?
Where is Mike Cash or any of the others that deserved an award? Her
name is sham, no great loan. Her MC and smoozing was a little work but
no big deal, it's part of the act. She's been taking advantage and
using others to puff up some pompous scheme too long. She's addicted
and as horrendously twisted as any junkie who kills their own mother
for one more fix. WORSE! It's inexcuseale and VILE... Why do people
let anyone turn them into someone elses sucker? Over and over? The
