She was going on today about how a woman shouldn't marry a man who
already has children. But doesn't her husband have children from a
previous marriage?

Amicus, you have to understand, DL gets to make the rules, and that
means she can make herself an exception to those rules, too!

No. Oh, sure, he had biological offspring with the woman he was originally
married to and was living with them when Laura snagged him, but they aren't
"children" and apparently never were.

At least that's what she told someone who once asked her about her
stepchildren on another show.

Well he had offspring but he didn't have children you see. Children
are precious little bunchkins who have to be protected at all costs.
In fact you pretty much have to sacrifice everything in order to
nurture them to the DL standard. Certainly you aren't allowed to have
two incomes. It's far too easy to pay the mortgage that way and so it
won't do. If there's no pain, it's plain you have to think again.
But offspring? Naw. You can fool around and desert them for another
woman.
Of course DL's offspring is another matter. Deryk is still a bunchkin.
We suspect he always will be.

Yeah, but in LauraWorld 13 *is* grown up for virtually all intents and
purposes - the little creep could even be tried and punished as adult for
committing a crime, and could certainly be tossed out of the house for
behaving badly.

Grown up for every purpose except someone else wanting to have sex with him
anyway.

It was actually a friendly caller to Larry King who asked Laura why she
didn't talk about her own stepchildren, mentioning how fond she was of her
own. That's when Laura frostily informed her that "They aren't children."

What a sanctimonious, vicious, nasty, lying little slut she is.

I think I understand how Laura can claim she's telling the truth here.
Under
Jewish law, a boy becomes an adult at age 13. But to her callers, a 17YO
wanting a little more freedom is "a minor child" who needs her room stripped
and the door removed. This is beyond Talmudic, it's Jesuitical.

Laura's private life is private -- except for the parts about her life, and the
lives of her grandparents, parents, sister, husband and son, that she wishes to
make public. If she doesn't admit it, it never happened. Her first husband,
Bill Ballance, her nieces and nephews, her husband's first wife, her husband's
first three children are all part of her PRIVATE life.

Also, it's terrible to hint that Laura wasn't always the thick slab of moral
beacon that she is today. In fact, it's worse than murdering her. So, if you
happen to hear (as I did the other day) Laura howling about a woman who has the
temerity to BECOME ENGAGED TO, and PLAN TO MARRY, the man she took away from his
wife and children, you must remind yourself (as I did) NOT to remember what
happened when Lew met Laura. That other woman must be shunned by all decent,
right-thinking people, and never you mind about Laura.

Speaking of temerity -- did anyone else hear a male caller praise Laura for her
shitspa?

snip prior post re DL's stepchildren
Michelle, the book that documents DL's life including the things she
doesn't publicize is titled "Dr. Laura: The Unauthorized biography" by
Vickie L. Bane, published 1999. Try your public library, mine has a
copy, very interesting reading. You have to admire DL's tenacious
pursuit of radio success chronicled in the book. You may find some
personal info about her that is less than admirable.
Also try this link to read the Vanity Fair article about DL from 1998

Absolutely THRILLED that Amy got voted back into the Big Brother 3

is still there.

Also thrilled that Amy is back. I was shocked by Lisa's vote. What did you
make of that? I do not understand how the rest of the herd could be so
stupid not to take the opportunity to boot Roddy but I feel his day will
come

And now Amy is Head of Household! Yippee! This will make for a VERY
interesting week. Check out the video captures by Maharet on
www.bigbrotherlive3.com, after Amy won HoH the next photo is captioned
"Guess who starts sucking up to Amy right away?" - Answer: ChiWhora!
About lisa voting against Eric - I think she realizes that with Eric
there she would again be viewed as part of a couple, a voting bloc,
and make herself a target. She is hoping to win the money, that would
pay for a really nice trip and they could make whoopee all they wanted
with NO cameras to cramp their style!

Lisa's been on the feeds all week saying that she didn't want Eric back
because she wouldn't know how to explain that she is now after Chiara and
Roddy in a big way. She didn't think that Eric would understand the new
"dark" Lisa.

Guilty as charged. Actually I get most info from the feed update pages -
try http://www.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads

but yeah I have the live feeds too. Something to do in the summer since
they won't let me into the school (fixing the "sewage" system and I am using
that term loosely since what we actually have is a sewage lagoon - gotta
love the country!) Have cleaned a ton of vegetative junk out of my yard,
painted the front of my house and painted the living room too. Missed
Thursday night's show though (off on a getaway to Muskoka) and the child
forgot to tape it! Wah!!! Thank god for the feeds and the update pages.

Is it worth it? Well, since I'm able to stay up late at night that makes it
better - no action happens before noon or 1 our time most days because of
the time difference and the best stuff usually happens late at night.
You've still got to get to work in the morning, dk, so you might want to
stick with the updates.

Once September comes, I don't know that I'll be able to pull this off
anymore.

Ruth! You are so lucky! I did not get live feeds because of expense,
daughter and hubby thought I was CRAZY for even thinking of getting
them, plus I am working full time and have very hectic schedule right
now. I go to www.BigBrotherLive3.com every day and check the latest
spoilers. another BB3 addict works in my office and we dish every day!
what fun!

Also ready for Survivor Thailand!
And ECSTATIC that Amy as Head of Household nominated ChiWhora and Sir
Roddy the Arrogant! how the mighty have fallen. I am thinking Roddy
will go next, but would LOVE to see the look on chiara's face if SHE
got voted out, and then watch Roddy suck up to Lisa and Amy trying to
get another love connection going to save himself from next eviction.
BTW, Do you think that clueless Chiara EVER watched an episode of this
before she got on the show? She didn't get casted for her brains -
must have been for her potential willingness to hop into bed with
another HouseGuest.

Dani's sure working hard to try and boot Roddy but Marcellas and Amy aren't
having anything to do with it. She may yet pull it off using Lisa and
Jason. I think Gerry would go for it too, but they won't even talk to him
because they think he's in with Roddy. For all of the villifying of Gerry
that goes on in this house he is the one person who has been fairly up front
and honest throughout the whole thing. I laugh every time they say he's so
unpredictable, and dishonest and would do "anything" to stay in the house
because that's closer to describing their behaviour rather than his. The
same goes for his supposed "gross" behaviour. It's too funny watching
Chiara sit ON THE KITCHEN TABLE while she complains about Gerry not being
hygienic.

I wish Amy hadn't come back in the house though - she sings so much it's
always going to FOTH and she's really really bad for Marcellas. He is such
a nasty human being when he's attached to her. I used to like Marcellas
too.

> BTW, Do you think that clueless Chiara EVER watched an episode of this

I dunno - they seemed to really want to protray her as the "girl next door"
for so long - thankfully they've abandoned that tactic - but they didn't
have much choice given her behaviour. Roddy's trying HIS damndest to
distance himself from her too. I think Dani is right - they either take
care of Roddy NOW or they'll miss their chance - Amy and Marcellas have
every intention of protecting Roddy till the end. I don't know if Dani's
picked up on that yet, but she'd better because A & M & R are all putting
her up on the block next week if they can.
