I ahve been to severial NASCAR races and enjoy listening to the Teams and
the live feed for ESPN and MRN radio. What I was wanting to learn was
who controlls the radio frequencies for each team. I would suppect that each
team has it's own FCC assigned Frequencies. I have found that most teams
have 2 to 3 frequecnies as shown on all lists I find on the Internet.

My boss went to Bristol's race 4/11/99 and bought a Frequency List for the
weekend and brought it to me since I was going to Martinsville the next
weekend 4/18/99. I bought a list at Martinsville and compared to to the one
from the week before and noticed a few changes. I also compared the 2 from
the tracks with that I found on the Internet. I found that the lists form the
Internet were pretty acurate but did not have the correct frequency or all
the frequencies for each team.

What I don't understand is why teams change frequencies. It's not like
the other teams can't get the frequencies, so privacy can't be a issue.

Does any one know of a true source of frequencies for NASCAR teams like
maybe all the frequencies owned or assigned to a team. I just hate to
pay the high price for a ticket to the race then have to pay $5.00 for
a frequency list and sit in the stands to program my scanner.

As for a scanner I bought a Radio Shack PRO-74 Race Scanner. It works
realy well so far. I like the Car Number assigned to each frequency. I like
10 Priority Channels, I like the AA batteries since I can get new ones at the
track if my go dead.

Thanks for any and all help in my search for NASCAR Frequency information.
