well.....after windows 98 was 98se - millenium - windows2000 and now windows
XP....
seeing as the programme declares " Access2000 available"....perhaps you
should upgrade your software..after all windows95 is a bunny hop away from
windows 3.1 and who uses that these days.

and please...x posting to all those groups isn't really good form...

Hi,

You bet it does! I'm running Windows 98 and it works fine. If you're having
problems try re-installing Access 2000. I've done that a few times.

we were part of Fujitsu/ICL and there engineers kept saying 95 is the best.

i had 8 pcs in my area, all capable of differant things, all set up in
differant ways, what you could do on one,you could not on another, the
shipping software we was using was designed in 1989 and regularly crashed.

never mind, not my problem any more

Hey, I was certified dyslexic at age 11 and it shows in some posts where
the spell checker doesn't rescue me, but it's still no excuse for bad
punctuation or actually not bothering to use a spell checker.
Punctuation has a purpose, it makes things easier to read. Whilst
criticising bad punctuation is ignorant, failing to use punctuation *at
all* is just laziness!

"the internet is for everyone" in once sentence and "as soon as you post

your abusive language and net-nazi tendencies to be no better than those

Look, what is going on here. Language is there so that you can understand
what the person is saying. To be honest I've read alot of Paul's email and
never really had a problem understanding them. If you try reading them and
don't understand them, just move onto the next post.

Where do you stop when it comes to checking spelling and grammar. I admit I
try to get it right but don't often and my grammar is probably as bad as
anyone's. Education has nothing to do with it either. I have studied a fair
bit, so some might say I'm an educated person, but I haven't studied English
since I was 16. Also, I don't have the need for 'good' English, only for
people to understand me.

The posts are to scanner groups and Paul has probably done more for the
scanner hobby than most. English is probably secondary here and scanner
content more important.

With that all said, with kill files and the ability to ignore/delete and
move on what's the problem?

Thanks for reading and apologies for the grammar and spelling 8-).

Rav

then name of my group is to reflect the more proffesional members that does
not mean i am proffesional, never pretended to be.

i concentrate on spelling etc on my lists and databases which are still the
best frequency lists freely available in the UK,and we attract the best
people in 2 way radio and scanning.

when i send emails i see it as just to get info out quickly nothing more.

i just type and send, sometimes i look and check spelling but most times i do
not bother.

i was like that at school and in jobs as well,i always do it my way,if you
want to be boring and follow the herd go ahead but dont try and get me
interested i have more important things to do,it funny no one moans in my
groups about my emails and with 1500 members i am pleased about that.

Paul,
I'm a great believer in using correct spelling and grammar wherever possible
but as you know, email and newsgroups have developed a language of their own
and I never give incoming email or postings a second thought (unless from a
professional body), so just ignore all this drivel mate.

You do a fantastic job with Proma1 and have done more for this community
than most people in this newsgroup. Hats off to you mate!

That's the main problem. If you don't use proper punctuation/capitalization
it makes it very hard for others to understand exactly what you are trying
to say. That's why punctuation and capitalization rules exist.

This is an access database and does not require any form of
installation.
PLACE IN A FOLDER OR ON YOUR DESKTOP

As long as you have MS Access 2000 installed double click the file and
away you go.

I have downloaded and currently using it as a backup to my log book..

UPDATE WISH

In the next version perhaps a button to remove the example data for
inexperienced users would be a nice function...

I did this by going into Database design and removing unwanted data..

Other than that have found no faults or problems.

Run under Win XP pro, Win ME, Win98se

Okay Karrl,
Got your suggestion for removing the sample data. I suppose I reckoned that
those people who had Access2000 had enough working knowledge to know how to
remove all records, but sure enough, there'll be some people who bought
Office without ever having touched the "Access" portion of it.
