>How to scan between 2 frequencys.
Turn scanner on
Press the oval VFO/A=B button (left hand side above screen)
enter first frequency
press the over VFO/A=B button
enter second frequency
press F button (top of four buttons, left hand edge)
press MODE/1 button - select mode using arrows/twirly thing
pres SET/ENT button
press F button
press STEP/2 button - select step size using arrows/twirly thing
press SET/ENT
Press F
press A-B S/SCN button
off you go - turn the twirly thing to skip frequencies when it stops, use
the higher of the two rocker switches to alter the volume, and the lower
of the two rocker switches to alter the Squelch (signal strength that
stops the scan)
>Putting Frequencys in memory banks
following on from above, the scanner stops on an interesting frequency,
say 134.350
press the A-B S/SCN button to stop scanning. The frequency you are
listening to should be the top one of the two shown on the screen.
press F button
press MR MW button (right hand side, above screen)
use twirly thing to select memory bank - eg, B7
press down arrow button
use twirly thing to select memory channel within memory bank - eg 34
press SET/ENT
use the twirly thing to move along the rows of characters, then use the
down arrow to select the letters
eg, VALLEY
if you make a mistake, just press the up arrow to correct it.
once you've got a suitable name in, press SET/ENT.
And there you go. You've just put the frequency for Valley Radar (I
think - certainly RAF Valley) into memory channel 34 of bank B7.
