We're pleased to announce the first pirate HDTV broadcast.

On Wednesday, April 8th 2004 in Southern California, a broadcast was
successfully completed with test patterns, some upconverted content
and a native 1080i animation. Some content was Serial Digital source
with embedded audio (D1 Stream).

Effective ERP was approximately 750 Watts in a broad cartiod pattern
on an unused UHF channel. The transmission was recieved on local
monitors and approximately 4.5 miles away.

Equipment is an eclectic mix of Used and borrowed equipment (HD
encoders are not a Radio Shack Item yet...) and some fabricated bits.

Radiating element was a broad cartiod pattern Verically polorized
YAGI, with a HAAT of about 60 feet.

More information, and possibly photos to follow.
