Annoying CBC promos

The Ottawa Citizen January 4, 2010

Will somebody please tell the management at CBC Radio 2 that we are now very
much aware of the fact that the network is commercial-free? We're also very
much aware of the fact that mind-numbing promos are just as tiresome as
commercials. In fact, the CBC's imitation of an annoying morning show is
actually worse than any show on commercial radio.

CBC management has managed to screw up programming quite enough without making
things worse with constant promos aimed at showing how hip the CBC has become
(or whatever the term for hip is this week).

And, by the way, I and I'm sure quite a few others really don't care one whit
whether Rich Terfry has a cellphone or not. Indeed, there are many things a
number of us don't care one whit about when it comes to Rich Terfry. But
that's another story.

And I wish they wouldn't promote TV on the CBC radio stations.

Can't they get internal CBC NuusReeders to read the promos in
a better voice than PromoGit?
