Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Shell (isolated) Free Download

A Visual Studio isolated shell-based application has full access to Visual Studio services and supports customization and branding. There are several ways you can customize a shell-based application, as follows:

Each isolated Shell-based application to be deployed must have a valid shell load key (SLK). The SLK is uniquely related to the application and cannot be used to load any other application. You can obtain SLKs on the Visual Studio Extensibility Developer Center Web site.
Recently I've been getting into some Python and I remembered that one of the groups had also developed a Python deployment using the isolated shell. But I can't seem to find anything additional on it.
Granted, I realize that Python can be written in Visual Studio now, but just was trying to dig into the history. I noticed last night when I was digging that the isolated shell is available all the way through 2015.
Well, the version switcher does try to install visual studio integration (and also runs when you launch teststand), so it is likely that installation that is failing. I will enter a corrective action request into our database and see if there is any way to workaround this.
The final release of Visual Studio 2013 became available for download on October 17, 2013, along with .NET 4.5.1.[189] Visual Studio 2013 officially launched on November 13, 2013, at a virtual launch event keynoted by S. Somasegar and hosted on events.visualstudio.com.[190] "Visual Studio 2013 Update 1" (Visual Studio 2013.1) was released on January 20, 2014.[191]Visual Studio 2013.1 is a targeted update that addresses some key areas of customer feedback.[192]"Visual Studio 2013 Update 2" (Visual Studio 2013.2) was released on May 12, 2014.[193]Visual Studio 2013 Update 3 was released on August 4, 2014. With this update, Visual Studio provides an option to disable the all-caps menus, which was introduced in VS2012.[194]"Visual Studio 2013 Update 4" (Visual Studio 2013.4) was released on November 12, 2014.[195]"Visual Studio 2013 Update 5" (Visual Studio 2013.5) was released on July 20, 2015.[196]
These are the steps I followed multiple times to get addins working in versions of visual studio other than 2010, using the 10.2.2 arcobjects sdk. My guess is this would probably work with 10.1 as well.
