What does <DLS> mean on my DAB radio display?

When I change channels on my Roberts RD-15 it shows <DLS> on the display
before the scrolling text starts. Aside from being annoying and obviously
completely unnecessary, does anyone know what DLS stands for, or which
clever chip manufacturer or firmware programmer decided to make it do this?

"Dynamic Label Segment" -- meaning the scrolling text.

Maybe you have the option to change what DAB info is displayed, and
it's telling you which one is currently selected?

Now that's a bit curious.
It seems someone has answered this on Google Groups,
but the answer didn't appear on my newsreader.
