leaving the station after 22 years. Here's why he says he's leaving the

Hope and WAY Complete Merger

Hope Media Group, with stations in 7 states, and WAY Media, with stations
in 12 states, have officially closed their merger. The company will be
called Hope Media Group, be headquartered in Houston and led by Hope Media
Group CEO Joe Paulo.

Alpha San Jose Adds Harlan

Alpha Media’s KBAY FM and KKDV FM have added Emily Harlan as host of the
midday shift on the two signals. Harlan is the In-Arena and digital media
host for the San Jose Sharks and was previously a host and reporter for Fox
Sports San Diego.

Keeping Local Journalism Strong in Baltimore

Local Baltimore online news organization The Baltimore Banner and NPR
affiliate WYPR-FM in Baltimore have announced a joint operating agreement
that will allow the nonprofit organizations to work collaboratively to
deliver journalism across the state.

Crawford Broadcasting's Brian Cunningham shared this photo from his early
radio days when he worked at WKOA/WKOF in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Cunningham worked at the station for 22 years, as DJ, PD, and chief
engineer. This year he celebrates another milestone.

FCC Discovers Computers

The rule the FCC adopted Thursday will no longer require FM stations to
build a full-size mockup of an antenna or build a scale model if they want
to apply for a directional antenna. The FCC has finally said using computer
models is OK.
