BMI Nitelogger tape recorder controller operating voltage (?)

Perhaps someone could help.
I have an old (1990's) BMI Nitelogger (II?) and need to know the voltage
used by this device. I have a Condor 9 volt 9 watt supply that I think may
have been originally included with it, but am unsure and don't want to burn
it up testing.
Have several different possible "wall warts", thus my problem.
