Want to go skydiving?

I'm getting my skydiving certification this summer (half way through!!
I did my first two solo jumps yesterday!), so I'll be going down every week
or so. If you've ever thought of going, grab a couple friends and we'll
head down.

The place I go is Freefall Adventure, in Crosskeys, New Jersey. It's
about 30 minutes from Philiadelphia. Actually, you can see the city while
you're freefalling. It's the same people that took George H. Bush when he
went. (I went tandem with his tandem instructor, and I sat in the same
plane seat.)

If you go, it'll be tandem. That means that you are strapped to an
experienced instructor (these guys are world class) and don't have any
responsibilities. You're pretty much along for the ride, with a perfect
unobscured view. Of course, if you want to do some of the steering and play
around a little bit, they'll let you. And if you go with Norman, you'll
definitely be fired up as you flip out of the plane.

The details: It's $185 for a tandem jump ($175 cash). That includes
the jump, a certificate, and the quick instruction that you need. You can
get your jump videotaped for an additional $75 or so. I *definitely*
recommend these videos, especially if you're only going to do this once. My
father and I got ours taped, and it's a trip to watch yourself tearing
through the air at 120 mph. And Freefall Adventures hops up the tapes with
music, editing, all kinds of tricks. They're optional, but absolutely worth
the money.

So save up some cash, tell your friends, pick a date, and give me a
call. My cell is 610-348-6481.

Sorry about that. I meant to send that to a bunch of my friends, and
post something else to AQ. Got my windows mixed up.

Stephen Baldwin, the fun Baldwin, refuses to
become part of something old and stale and boring.
That's part of what has surprised me about this
thing called faith. Through it, God replaced my
jaded, cynical, been-there-done-that eyes with a
whole new way of seeing the world.

Further and perhaps even more surprising is I've
come to this faith in a more intense and hardcore
way than I could have possibly imagined. I feel
like I have gone skydiving and I'm falling from
the sky toward earth at 120 miles per hour.

The wind is howling in my ears and whipping across
my face. But somehow, I feel calm and at peace.
I'm not afraid. In fact, I'm absolutely positive
that I am free from any danger. I feel all these
things all at once with the full knowledge that
I chose to jump out of a perfectly good airplane
without a parachute! This skydiving experience
is what this book is all about.

Listen, I'm not trying to come off like some kind of
expert on the Christian faith. I'm just a guy from
Long Island who had all his preconceptions about God
blown away when I took a chance and embraced faith.
