A colleague of mine is taking a year off to write a book about the
psychology of losing in baseball. He has had a lot of time to think
about this topic as a psychology professor and a Red Sox fan. I
thought I'd help him out by finding a web page on that very topic. It
turns out that there are wonderful quotes about losing in baseball,
but no one page devoted itself to that. Naturally, it occurred to me
to compile such a page, so I did at

anyone wants to supply a gem that I left out, I'd be happy to hear
from you.

Hey, Terry, this is a terrific page. I am always looking for baseball
quotes. Being a Phillies' fan, I will not need the losing quotes this
