There is a book describing the history of "Big Bang" Carbide Cannons:-

Raymond V Brandes
Big Bang Cannons: The Unique Cannon, A Unique American Toy
Ray-Vin Publishing Co.
POB 11435
New Brunswick, N.J. 08906
appx. $20.000 + S&H (Soft cover)

They also publish a newsletter "Big-Bang News".

The Conestoga Company
POB 405
Bethlehem, PA 18016
215-866-0777

Sells Big Bang cannon.

In my youth I would launch rubber balls from a propane cylinder cut off
and fitted with spark plug.

Also available although I cannot site where at the moment are 10ga. blank
firing cannon. A bit pricey as I remember.
