My Post on Marillion 's official FB page, pissing off some Hogarth supporters:
"My opinion, about 20 years too late, yet hardcore fan of Marillion since 1988: Steve Hogarth is a different dude than Fish, totally, he has quite a few good ideas, is very smart and well spoken, but mostly it is Marillion themselves who stopped doing grandiose keyboard solos or stopped playing the "prog" style of Fish era, which most fans miss. I "adore" and "LOVE" Fish-era Marillion, and merely "like" Hogarth era which i also collect and listen to alot, but the band is not something i would call Marillion anymore. Mark Kelly has a good moment on Interior Lulu like senile wank but thats it. The band should change their name if all they wanna do is play acoustic ballads. Some good songs here and there, The Answering Machine, Cannibal Surf Babe, This Town, Hooks In You, The Uninvited Guest are my favorite "new Marillion do good music post Fish" - Still not necessarily the real Marillion! Regards, regards, Christian of the two cents etc."
Imagine replacing Edward Ka-Spel with some other dude and calling it "The Legendary Pink Dots", would almost be like Ron Tree fronting a band called "The Hawklords" 35 years on! It would be like disaster,
