The Church of Confidence are a German band, and they certainly came up with a
strange band name. They play energetic melodic punk rock, like a somewhat
faster version of Social Distortion, without the Ness vocals though. Pretty
good stuff, sounding very tight, with good melodies, especially surprising
considering that the picture of the band certainly makes them look like they
are real punks. And they do a nice revved up version of Jimmy Cliff's

Speaking of German bands, definitely go find the album by the Moorat Fingers
called Schlitzed from 1999. One of the best LPs of the 90s, absolutely.
