The cart creaked as such are wont to do when loaded down with
adventuresome loot, boxes of food and barrels of water. or other fluids.
Not to mention a pair of well-equipped warriors. one male human,
snoozing behind the driver's seat, the other, a female elf of curious
coloration peering back along their trail with an expression that makes
it clear that whatever she's looking at, it's not visible to anyone else.
Karsha, the elven sorceress handling the reins, clucked her tongue as
she guided the horse-drawn transport vehicle into position by the Inn.
Hopping down and nodding cheerfully at her fellow elf as she sauntered
toward the frond door, she vanished inside as the other woman, called
Vyrla, rose to her feet and stretched, giving ample evidence that it was
well possible for an elf to look like a warrior without loosing certain
qualities about her race and gender. She would be unlikely to earn a
second look in her armor and somber expression, but it would not take
much examination to see that given chance she would clean up rather nicely.
The man, Negrath by name, blinked awake as he became aware that they had
stopped, and it was time to move. Taking a moment to appreciate the view
of his occasional sparring partner over the last year or so, he got up,
replaced the sword on his back(in it's sheath, of course) and moved to
help her stow cart and animals where they would not be in the way of
'traffic'.
