So, there's some white meat, good in sandwiches, plus dressing, mashed
potatoes, and some gravy. Also, we have some yams left.
Mom's pies went fast, though. So, no desserts this year.
The crowd included two brothers, my mom and stepdad, the kids, plus my
step-sister and her husband. My younger brother did the turkey and the
excellent gravy. My oldest brother helped out with the other stuff,
like peeling potatoes. The kids made sure we had enough chairs,
glasses, forks, etc.
We had a lovely time. The kids answered lots of questions about their
trip to Grant Park in Chicago on election night.
Gemini
I KNEW we could count on you for leftovers, Gem! I'll donate a pumpkin
pie (made extra his year) and some cranberry sauce.
Your celebration sounds great. We had two dinners this year: the family
one was the weekend before Thanksgiving, since that was when we could
get the whole crew together, and then had friends over for Thursday's
dinner.
Grant Park on Election night? How exciting! I was so stoked just
watching it on television.
