Christmas? Last day of school? First day of school? Nope. It's Sock
Wars!!

Yes, it's time for Sock Wars, that fun-filled, blood-soaked,
knit-to-the-death game for only the strongest knitters on the planet.
The latest incarnation, SW IV, started Friday at 9 AM PDT when the
patterns were posted on the official website (www.sockwars.org). We got
our dossiers with target info about a week prior so we could see what
we're up against. There's also a "team" competition thrown in to add a
little spice. I'm on team Sockornas Krigare, and our target team is the
men's team, unofficially known as Crafters with Cojones. I predict that
CwC will be dead in the water within a week; I've launched at my target,
and Sandy has launched at hers. Unfortunately for one of my teammates,
her target is Trevor, who was my last victim in SW III, and he wears a
size 15 shoe; hardly fair, but this is war.

I shall keep you posted on our progress.
