Next step

I had the orientation meeting for my pharmacy tech externship a couple
weeks ago. I turned in my paperwork a few days later, and last week I
got my phone call with my placement. I'll be doing my outpatient
externship at a Kaiser facility here in East Anaheim.

Wow. Kaiser is a biggie. Fortunately, the only patients who can fill
prescriptions at Kaiser facilities are Kaiser patients so I'm less
likely to encounter any real cranks, but still...wow. I hope I can
handle it. Then again, KC, the department head and a wonderful person,
always told us that she'd never put anyone in a position she didn't
think that person could handle. I suspect, though, that she may think
too highly of me <g>

I have my interview next Wednesday afternoon, and if all goes well there
I should be starting my unpaid hours shortly thereafter. In the
meantime, I'll be taking the certification exam this Friday morning, and
after I pass that I can apply for my license. Things are chugging right
along :-)
