I`ve recently finished the Ring of Bright Water Trilogy by Gavin Mawell.
The disasters that accompanied the author`s invovement with animals is
somewhat akin to my own eperiences. Overall the "saddest" book I
remember having read. He did many good and many bad things (imo). The
overwhelming general view is that the story is more uplifting than
depressing. I feel otherwise . That may mirror my view of the real
"reality" : whatever it may be, you may find it acceptable while I do
not which easily explains my "war" with the UR. Maxwell makes several
references to " coincidences " that brought him together with several of
the animals.
