Hi all,

Just in case some of you don't know yet, Yahoo! have now assimilated the
eGroups discussion groups system. If you are not already a member, you may be
interested in checking out some of the most popular hypnosis forums on the net
at the following websites. Yes, membership is totally free and there are
several subscription options, unsubscription is easy too:

Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy (International): approx. 600 members.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hypnosis-hypnotherapy

Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy UK: approx. 200 members.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hypnosis-hypnotherapy-UK

NEW! Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy London: approx. 30 members.

FWIW, this used to be my *favorite* mailing list. There are some
excellent posts by an ex-participant named John London that you
may find a worthwhile read. (The archives are available at the
Yahoo site.) He was unreasonably anti-Erickson, based on several
personal experiences with him, but his other content on a number
of occasions was quite excellent, IMO.

All the best,
Syn

P.S. This is not to say it is not a good group now. High quality
discussions are still present. Just wanted to clear that up.

People should check out the various discussion groups. I have - some
are pretty silly, some pretty hostile. I have joined and left quite
a few becasue they were useless and of course their are some good
discussions. Size doesn't necessarily make it better. You should
decide for yourself if the list meets your needs, if the discussions
are fruitful or a waste of time. So investigate and find one for
yourself that is worthwhile - and good luck in the search. Lot of
crap to wade through.

Most people who are busy living happily using NLP don't have time
for the some of the obsessiveness as demonstrated by some members of
these groups.

Just in case you didn't know, if you join this discussion group, you have to
thread through endless repititions of material that people who can't be
bothered to learn how to use their email program cite.

Expect to see the average message quoted at least four times.

Oooooooooooooooooooooh. What were they...raised by wolves? Spent
time in New Jersey? Had a longshoreman and a gogo dancer for
parents? Some people just don't know when to remember for getting
seriousness.

Where are the electro-shock therapists when we need them? =)

All the best,
Syn
