I have forgotten how to get to my Earthlink web-site space to edit it.
I remember that the tool I used was Trellix, but I don't recall how to
get into it. I searched Earthlink's self-help files and didn't find
the answer. I found a number of help files that dealt with items
within Trellix, but not how to get into it.

Earthlink apparently doesn't accept questions via e-mail (which would
be my first choice, if it were available).

Earthlink's On-line Chat option doesn't work for me. When I give it
the requested information and click "submit request", it returns to
the screen asking for my information. Frustrating.

If I go to cc.earthlink.net it asks for domain name, user name, and
password. But any variations of the URL to get to my web site that I
have thought of don't work as "domain name" and I don't have a domain
name other than "home.mindspring.com/~" followed by my user name. I
can't give it what I don't have.

None of the phone numbers offered list my problem as an allowable
question for that number. Also, I hate calling any business on the
phone because of the darned menus and long wait times before I get to
talk with a real person (often whom I can't understand because of his
or her accent).

Anyway, how can I get into Trellix to edit my Earthlink web site?

The site is:

ftp-www.earthlink.net

login is your normal user ID(just the ID; not full email address) and PW
Use your favorite FTP client.

Don't forget that you get 10 megs per email address, so with a bit of
clever linking, you can in fact have an 80 meg site for free.

I didn't use ftp for my web site before and when I tried your URL I
got a screen that said that the site didn't respond. However, I
stumbled upon the path to Trellix:

1. Go to "www.earthlink.net/membercenter
2. Click the "Do more" tab
3. Click the "Free web site" tab
4. Click the "Sign in and start building" link
5. Enter your e-mail address and password

This led to Trellix connected to my web site.

Yes, I have already done that. I ended up overflowing even the 80 MB
space and have it linked to a Geocities site in addition to my
Mindspring (Earthlink) 80MB.

Thanks for trying to help.

Eh...about that Geocities account. Geocities shut down on the 26th of
October. Hope you had a backup.

Rember you also are limited to 1 gig of traffic to youre site per month
after that earthlink will block access untill the next month.
its a rolling 30 day time frame its not calender months.

I signed up for Yahoo's web hosting and my content was automatically
moved to there. I still have to revise all of the links in the site,
but that is a small chore compared with rebuilding it all from
scratch.

I will need to get into my Earthlink site to change a few links to
keep the two sites connected. I just hadn't been able to find the
entry to that web site.

And to another post that mentioned the limit on bytes transferred from
an Earthlink web site, I use my site to make pictures available to
family and friends, so there is relatively little traffic.
