I have been having trouble with the usage limits since last month and it
doesn't seem to be getting better.

I received a warning on 26 May saying that I was approaching the monthly
usage limit. Then on 7 June I received another email stating I had gone
over the limit and I could no longer log into the server. I complained
to Earthlink support and eventually reached level 3.

On or about 17 June I was able to log in again and it worked normally.

Then on Saturday morning (1 July) I received another approaching the
limits notice.

I had a general idea of my usage habits and was certain that I hadn't
hit the limits in any month, but I didn't have data. So since the 17th I
have been logging an estimate of my usage. That record showed that the
sum of my usage from the 17th through the 1st was about 25GB. Only a
tiny portion of that happening on the 1st.

While the warning emails are generated by Giganews (with the reply
address mangled to look like it is from Earthlink), contacting GigaNews
is pointless as they say the account is managed by Earthlink.

It appears as though the usage counter is not resetting on the 1st of
the month as expected.
