New, Green 'Safe Spoon' Goes Where Normal Utensils Can't

"The company, SpoonLidz, is touting the EcoTensil as "the first highly
functional eating utensil incapable of being used to cause harm" as
well as a lower-impact, and cheaper, alternative to plastic or bio-
based spoons."

Apparently, the California prison system is using these. Wouldn't it
be cheaper to just serve food with a hunk of pita bread or naan to be
used as the "utensil'? One has to wonder what foods could be eaten
with a paper spoon that couldn't also use a flat bread (perhaps with
adding some rice to thicken stuff like soups).
