proficiency satisfactory to the committee and by the Directors is
awarded the Degree, of DOCTOR OF METAPHYSICS and is entitled to all the
priviledges and rights accorded thereto.)

Please note the year 1993. Yet in many other posts he says he got that
in 1991. Why is Turi lying about the year? Here is one example:

SHORT AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY: Dr. Turi is the author of The Power of the
Dragon, Moon Power Starguide, Nostradamus forecast for all Signs, The
Power Within. He graduated from the Royal School of Music in 1976 and
worked as a recording artist for Phonogram recording company. He earned
a FPA engineering degree in France and a USME Welding Engineering in the
US. He then studied Metaphysics, Astrology and received his Doctorate in
1991, from the Light Institute in Sacramento, California. Dr. Turi
teaches at the American Association of Astrologers and at many Borders
and Barnes & Noble Bookstores. He is a regular guest on many syndicated
radio shows and appeared on numerous television programs. His
infomercial pertaining to Nostradamus Divine Astrology will be aired
early 2000.

Here is something else interesting. Put this phrase into google.com:
"Progressive Universal Life Institute"
Three hits come up, all of them in French. Turi calls it this in his
famous response, and then proceeds to change that to calling
it the "Light" Institute. What gives with that? I can find NO
reference to any version of this degree mill that he claims is
in Sacramento. I suspect that he is involved in some other
fraud that is a place to buy degrees, or he is out right lying.
Why don't people get it? Turi is a fake and a fraud who came to
this country and found easy marks for the taking. It amazes me
that people will throw hundreds of dollars at him for nothing more
than smooth talking.
