Stephanie McMahon & Jack Hunter open. Triple H is still recovering from heart surgery, but is encouraged by what happened on NXT on Tuesday. The duo announce a Gold Rush tournament for the women's tag titles:
Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans (Impact) vs. The Allure (ROH).
Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) vs. NXT tag team champions Io Shirai & Zoey Stark.
Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs. Penelope Ford & The Bunny.
Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart vs. Alexa Bliss & Dana Brooke.
The winners will meet in a fatal four-way elimination match in the co-feature.
Dexter Lumis & Indi Hartwell are on their "honeymoon", and will return in two weeks.
1. Bron Breakker (Bronson Rechsteiner, son of Rick Steiner) debuted, and def. Duke Hudson with a top rope bulldog (just like dad) at 11:51.
2. Women's tag team gold rush: Tegan Nox & Shotzi Blackheart def. Alexa Bliss & Dana Brooke in 7:50. Alexa didn't have her familiar, Lilly, with her, and played it straight. Brooke was pinned after the shiniest wizard.
3. Women's tag team gold rush: Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter snapped their recent losing streak, def. Penelope Ford & The Bunny in 8:41 via DQ when Matt Hardy, in the corner for the heels, slipped Bunny the brass knux, but Bunny got caught hitting Carter with the knux, and ref Aubrey Edwards called for the bell.
4. Julius & Brutus Creed (Jacob & Drew Kasper) def. Alex Nance and Leo Smith (UWA trainees) in 3:11. Julius pinned Smith after a sliding lariat. Squash.
5. Women's tag team gold rush: The Allure def. Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans, in the latter's UWA debut, in 13:41 after Angelina Love pinned Evans after the Botox Injection (Brogue Kick).
6. Women's tag team gold rush/non-title: Io Shirai & Zoey Stark def. Toxic Attraction via DQ in 12:41 when Mandy Rose pushed Shirai off the top rope. Triple team until Rhea Ripley & Nikki ASH made the save and chased the heels off.
7. National title: Malakai Black def. Vincent Marseglia with Black Mass in 11:50.
8. Karrion Kross submitted Trick Williams (UWA debut) with the KrossJacket in 6:45.
9. Women's gold rush final, winners face Natalya & Tamina next week: Order of elimination:
1st fall: Shirai pinned Mandy Leon after a moonsault at 12:40.
2nd fall: Nox pinned Carter with the Shiniest Wizard at 23:00.
3rd fall: Stark pinned Nox after the K360 (vertical GTS) at 29:41.
It'll be the NXT vs. WWE women's tag team champions for the UWA titles next week.
Backstage, Charlotte Flair is complaining about having to defend the Raw women's title vs. Alexa at Extreme Rules, but it appears Stephanie isn't listening. Instead, a life-size Lilly emerges from behind a partition. Charlotte attacks, but who should appear but Jack Hunter, who shuts down Charlotte with the katihajime (Tazmission), as "Lilly" unmasks, revealing Stephanie, who was just playing a prank on Charlotte. Next week, Charlotte will have to run a gauntlet if she wants a shot at Bianca Belair! The first hurdle? Alexa Bliss!
