collecting Comic's in 1993 ............... I have almost every Image 1st
issue , but I doubt (except Spawn) that they're worth much .

actually if you like i'll be able to figure out how much they are when
i talk to my dad i don't play a big part in the store i do read comic
books but not that much i know he knows. So i will get back to you on
that :-)

*laugh* No, It's not my profession, just a sideline I had going. I've never
done a whole book or anything. I mainly, hmm how to describe it...
I guess what I did was pull images out of existing comic books, remove all
the peripherals like speech bubbles other characters etc., add in anything
necessary like a new background and all the bits that are now blank and turn
them into poster sized prints. I pencilled everything, then inked then if I
felt it would look ok coloured with pastels and framed.
The piece I'll scan in is the last thing I was working on, a Poster of Sabre
tooth and Wild Child from the alternate X-Men universe. It's what they look
like on the cover of X-Men Alpha or Omega, can't remember which. I pencilled
them without the rest of the gang and put in a new background, altered a few
details etc. It's unfinished because, as you'll see, I couldn't decide on
what type of writing to use for Wild Child's name.

traced it, altered it enough so that it obviously isn't traced, drew a new
background, inked it and scanned it. Man I'm good.

Sabretooth is looking up to the left instead of down, where more of his legs are
showing, where Wild Childs pose is altered etc.
Is that your entire argument, that it looks like someone elses work? Did you not
even read what I was going to scan? Would you prefer something I drew myself? As
in from scratch rather than from inspiration? That can easily be arranged to if
you'd like.

You traced it. Tracing inlcudes looking at his image and drawing it
exactly like he did, which is what you did at best.
At best you eyes his image and drew it to another peice of paper. It's not
originally, technically it's not yours and it's as half assed as you are
in general. Anybody would agree if you have to constantly look at
something to do it, then you are not a creator or even an aritist.

Sure, if they look at it and draw something else. But to look at something
and copy it to paper does not make a great artist. You want to create more
then just a pencil work when you look at something and draw it. You want
paint and 100 feet of canvas and a brick wall for it to go on and for
everybody to see . Not something you can do on a monthly basis with 32
pages due every 30 days. That is what we talked about in the challenge.

I did read what you planned to scan and it sound hoaky then and it looks
hoaky now. It's not what we talked about, I said comicbook artists kick

boasted I was better than you and we challenged to upload something of our

There are plenty of characters I regularly drew 'back in the day' (What day?). No I
never felt the need to make up my own characters although I think I once went
through a phase of giving existing characters new uniforms for no apparent reason.

not 'exactly' as he did. That was the point of what I explained before I scanned
anything.

To see on the back half, the exact same image Fallen drew and said he
altered a few things on it to make it original. yet the only differane is
Wildchilds face is slimmer than it was originally drawn by Joe Madureira
on the cover of this comic I have right here and plan to scan over the
weekend. Foil cover or not and upload it to my site along with Fallen's
original art work and let each persons eyes decide for themselves if what
you did Fallen was great and artistic or lazy and plagiaristic.

The part that cracks me up most. More legs are showing. Unless you fully
fold the cover to X-men alpha open, then you can see where that leg
extended off page and onto the next one where you simply kept on copying.
