News On Big Show/Taker Finish, Scrapped PPV Ideas

It's being reported that creative decided to go with the knockout
finish to the Big Show/Taker match in an effort to inject a more
realistic edge into their match. They were borrowing a page from an
MMA bout, however they were not entirely pleased with the result. As
evidenced by the live crowd last night, the fans were left more
confused by the finish than they were excited. The exposed turnbuckle
spot did not have the effect creative wanted.

It's also being reported that several comedy bits were scrapped from
last night's PPV in order to devote more time to the two championship
main events. We may see some of these bits on Raw tonight.

It's clear that the PG13 no blood rule is why the exposed turnbuckle did
nothing to help the finish. Had Taker bled, people would have "gotten
it".
