Backstage, Jack Hunter is on the phone, ostensibly with Stephanie McMahon, and it's hinted she is in Chicago for Survivor Series, which took place last night. He assures her that "he's got this".
1. Non-title: The Creed Brothers (w/Ivy Nile) def. The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Michael Bennett) in 8:55. Brutus pinned Taven after Brutusball off the top. Roderick Strong has been suspended for 30 days for using the wheelchair & neck brace under false pretenses after having a couple of recent matches.
2. Nile switched places with Julius, while Brutus went to the locker room, and submitted Anna Jay with the Diamond Chain in 5:30.
3. Trick Williams def. Lexis King in 11:34 with a jumping knee strike. King is on job duty as punishment for recent actions. In voiceover commentary, Vic Joseph tells us Josh Briggs has granted Carmelo Hayes a rematch next week due to King's interference.
Christian Cage video. Cage is diverting his attention from ex-BFF Adam Copeland to Jack Hunter, since Cage has been sanctioned for violations committed as TNT champion. He perceives, as others do, that Stephanie has been flirting with Jack the last few weeks, but before he can continue, the video is cut off, and Jack is in his office watching it.
"The more things change, the more they stay the same.", he muses. "Guys like Cage are still chumpstains failing to read between the lines."
4. Adriana Rizzo (Anna Keefer) debuts, with Tony D'Angelo in the coach's box, and submits Thea Hail with the Code of Silence (headscissor submission also used by Carmella) in 6:30.
5. Josh Briggs & Brooks Jensen def. the Good Hands (John Skyler & Jason Hotch) in 5:30. Hotch was pinned after the high-low.
6. AEW Women's title: Toni Storm def. Hikaru Shida (Full Gear, 11/18).
Tony Khan admitted the ref missed a key violation (Storm stuffed a plate in her tights), and Shida will get a rematch next week. Jack says that both the AEW & UWA titles will be on the line, and if Toni tries to duplicate her actions, she forfeits the UWA title.
7. Non-title: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter def. Mercedes Martinez & Diamante in 9:30. Diamante was pinned after the Afterparty.
Post-match, Ronda Rousey returned, accompanied by Marina Shafir, and issued a challenge for the women's tag titles. KC2 agreed, and set the date for Winter Warfare on 12/30.
Announced for next week:
North American title: Dom Mysterio vs. Wes Lee vs. Trick Williams in a 3 way elimination match.
Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida.
Jack Hunter will suit up and take on Christian Cage.
8. NWA title: EC3 def. Mike Knox with the One Percenter in 13:51. Post-match, EC3 challenged Samoa Joe for the UWA title at Winter Warfare.
