From Miami (same site as Smackdown):

1. Kelani Jordan vs. Karmen Petrovic ended in no contest in 6:30 when Kiana James & Izzy Dame attacked both. New NXT GM Ava announced a tag match right then & there. Fittingly, former Smackdown & ECW GM Teddy Long was at ringside on commentary.

2. Jordan & Petrovic def. James & Dame in 3:32 when Dame was pinned after a split-legged moonsault.

3. Men's future stars final: Oba Femi def. Tavion Heights in 7:30 with the pop-up powerbomb. Fans were into Femi, even though he's supposed to be a heel, calling out, "Hoo!" after every offensive move.

Ava returned, and announced the field for the women's Future Stars tournament, which begins today, and ends on the final Challenge, billed as The Last Stand, on February 17. The field:

Lola Vice (NXT women's breakout winner) vs. Brinley Reece.
Arianna Grace vs. Wren Sinclair (formerly Madi Wrenkowski).
Jakara Jackson (Meta-Four, activated from the suspended list) vs. Karmen Petrovic.
Kelani Jordan vs. Jaida Parker.

4. UWA women's tag titles: Katana Chance & Kayden Carter def. Decay-DQ in 7:55 when Damage CTRL hit the ring and attacked the champs. Rosemary decided to try to make a save, but Asuka hit her with green mist, and Rosemary & Havok left. NXT women's champion Lyra Valkyria came down, along with Becky Lynch, and the two daughters of Ireland helped the champs chase out Damage CTRL. Looks like an 8-woman tag next week, pending the Royal Rumble.

Miz promo. He had been sent a tape of Johnny TV & Taya Valkyrie's promo from Dynamite. His former partner now thinks he & Taya can be just like Miz & his wife, Maryse. Next week, it's on!

5. Women's future stars, 1st round: Lola Vice def. Brinley Reece in 3:50 with a spinning savate kick. Squash.

6. NXT tag titles: Tony D'Angelo & Stacks Lorenzo def. Malik Blade & Edris Enofe in 13:50 after Bada Bing Bada Boom to Enofe.

Rhea Ripley promo from Tampa. She's challenging Blair Davenport for the UWA women's title next week.

7. Women's Future Stars, 1st round: Wren Sinclair def. Arianna Grace in 7:54 with a victory roll. Grace went for an eye rake, but Sinclair would have none of that. Curiously, Bo Dallas was in the bleachers, watching the match, interested in Arianna (who is dating Stacks Lorenzo off-camera).

It was announced that Meta-Four are being activated from the suspended list, and that Lash Legend will face Sinclair next week in a rematch due to Jakara Jackson's interference. Lash will go it alone.

8. DIY def. Oro Mensah & Noam Dar in 13:30 when Dar was pinned after Meet in The Middle.

Post-match, Jack Hunter appeared on the jumbotron doing a mock-up of the late Roddy Piper's "Piper's Pit", and cut a promo on Meta-Four. Noting that Dar is from Scotland, Hunter, speaking in Piper's voice, circa 1984, pulled out a bag of Scotts' Turf Builder, and said that people have a hard time understanding Dar because he has the turf builder in his mouth, thinking it's safer than tobacco. Mensah looks like a reject from a Fun Boy Three cosplay convention (80's fans will get the reference). He cracked on Legend, saying that she gave up the WNBA because she couldn't dunk anything other than a cup of cocca. As for Jakara, "the only Ms. Jackson I know is Janet, and she ain't digging you!".

Triple H came out. Next week, it's only going to get worse for Meta-Four. Dar & Mensah will face Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, in addition to the women being in singles matches. At Valentine Blast, regardless of what happens vs. Von Wagner on 1/30, Wagner & Josh Briggs will both challenge Dar in a 3-way elimination match, under American rules, for the Heritage Cup. Briggs declined the Legacy Cup for this reason. The catch? Only 1 other Meta-Four member will be at ringside.

9. National title: Bobby Lashley def. Solo Sikoa in 7:55 via the Hurt Lock. Jimmy Uso was ejected for getting on the apron at the 4 minute mark. No Paul Heyman, as he's "in Tampa". Lashley hit two spears, then clamped on the submission.

Post-match, Sikoa got up, and tried for the Samoan Spike, but Lashley, seeing what Jack Hunter did two weeks ago, blocked it, and hit the Dominator to a massive pop.

Lashley will face Oba Femi for the National title at Valentine Blast in 2 weeks.
