****Arlie David Nole Sr. is a Serial Arsonist!****

The tax records show that 10 years ago Arlie Nole owned a small house

at #2 Mohawk Court, Columbia, MO that was valued at about $40,000.

That house mysteriously burnt down on 12/29/93. At the time Arlie

pinned the blame for the fire on his two year old son, who he said

was playing with a lighter in another room!

Total damage was estimated at $70,000. "Everything we owned was in

there," Nole said. (today this house is only Assessed at $28,300.)

Come-on, Give me a break! This was a house of 962 square feet

with 3 adults (Arlie jr was 18) and 3 childern at home at 12:00pm

in the afternoon and a 2 year old manages to burn down the entire

house and nobody is even injured? Arlie is quoted in the newspaper

story (by the way, Arlie Sr and Arlie jr both use their middle names

of David in this story) as "Nole said the home was insured, but he

was worried that compensation would come slowly."

Yes, it's all about the insurance!! Read the full story at:

http://archive.columbiatribune.com/1993/dec/19931230news04.htm

Quote from article:

"The elder Nole said he tried fighting the fire with two fire

extinguishers he recently bought. The devices malfunctioned,

however, and he only had time to grab a cordless telephone

before fleeing the house."

Damn!!! Two new fire extinguishers and they BOTH "malfunctioned";

What are the odds????

In the end, Arlie made out very well. He used the insurance money to

cheaply fix up the house, which he then sold to his brother Richard

Nole. With the proceeds from the sale and all the left over

insurance money, Arlie bought a much bigger house at 7450 E MT ZION

CHURCH RD, HALLSVILLE, MO 65255.

But wait... that's not the end of this tale!

In a later news article (link below) Mike Wilson, chief fire

investigator with the Columbia Fire Department, said "the cause of

that fire was undetermined and the claim that the child started the

blaze was unsubstantiated."

But here's the really great part of this story; the same house was

torched again just a few years latter!!!

Home in Indian Hills had burned before

By PIERRETTE J. SHIELDS of the Tribune’s staff

Story ran on Tuesday, June 13 2000

Sunday morning wasn’t the first time flames claimed the home at 2

Mohawk Court in northeast Columbia. This week’s fire is being

investigated as arson.

In December 1993, the home then owned by current owner Richard Nole’s

brother, David Nole, sustained $70,000 in damage from a fire.

A news account at the time reported that David Nole’s 2-year-old son

was playing with a lighter and set the blaze that gutted the family’s

home.

Mike Wilson, chief fire investigator with the Columbia Fire

Department, said the cause of the first fire was undetermined and the

claim that the child started the blaze was unsubstantiated. Wilson

said arson was evident in Sunday’s incident because the fire had

multiple starting points. He wouldn’t discuss further evidence.

No one was injured in either blaze.

He said he believes the two fires are unrelated and chalks it up as a

coincidence pending any new evidence. "It can happen," he said of two

fires occurring at the same residence, although he noted, "It is not

real likely."

Wilson said investigators are wading though a suspect list to try to

uncover the arsonist. Richard Nole was a bail bondsman until

November, Wilson said, which has helped to expand the suspect list.

"Apparently, those guys get threatened fairly frequently," he said,

noting that an interview yesterday with Nole helped to identify

possible suspects.

"We haven’t narrowed a list down to a particular suspect at this

point," said detective Jim Harmon of the Columbia Police Department.

Nole’s home in the Indian Hills subdivision sustained an estimated

$65,000 in damage from the 4 a.m. blaze. A neighbor’s dog woke his

owners and alerted them to the fire. They called the fire department,

which extinguished the fire within minutes of arriving. The fire had

been smoldering for lack of oxygen before firefighters arrived.

Wilson said Richard Nole bought the home from David Nole after the

first fire. Richard Nole and his family, who were not at home at the

time of the blaze, are reportedly staying with other family members.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I like these quotes:

Wilson said "it's a coincidence pending any new evidence."

"It can happen," he said of two fires occurring at the same

residence, although he noted, "It is not real likely."

And this...

"Richard Nole and his family, who were not at home at the time of the

blaze" -- right, at 4am in the morning!

Although Richard Nole had an alibi for the second fire, nobody has

yet asked where Arlie was late that night (there was no probable

cause to question him).

In New Jersey they would call this a clear case of "Jewish Lightning",

except I don't think that Arlie is Jewish...

Here's a link to the 1st story of the 2nd fire with pictures of the

so called "totaled" house:

http://archive.columbiatribune.com/2000/jun/20000612news001.asp

Does that look like $65,000. dollars in damage? Do you think there's

anything worth $65k on that entire block?

Some more quotes:

Wilson wouldn’t elaborate on the cause. "Right now, two people know

how this fire was set - me and the person who did it," he said this

morning, noting that accidental causes were ruled out immediately.

"We haven’t ascertained what the exact motive is."

**(How about for the Insurance money - Duh!!!!)**

Wilson said investigators assume a fire is accidental until evidence

proves otherwise.

Wilson did concede one clue. "There were multiple areas of origin,

that is one of the criteria that we know it was an intentionally set

fire," he said.

Wilson believes the home is structurally sound and can be repaired.

**********

And they did fix it up again with bailing wire and duct-tape...

Now Arlie and Richard are just 2 of 7 brothers and 2 sisters, and

this 2nd fire happened a little over 2 years ago. I guess I should

check the records and see who has title to the shack now. It's about

time for another fire!

Well I see you found out my daddys name. He has been deceased since 1978 and
my mother has been deceased 10 years.
I was an only child, thus now I have no living parents, and it makes me an
orphan on earth, but I do have a heavenly father.
I guess you going to dig dirt up on me, but for what? For something you and
jan are in? My daddy was far from a redneck Patty. You should have been lucky
enough to have had parents like mine. Here your sick mind goes again. I know
now you are going to start attacking me like the rest.

I have been married 4 times. Go thru men like a dose of salts thru a widow
woman. I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Born and raised here all my
life. I have 2 daughters and 1 son. My grand children are both girls. Only
one of my children lives in GA anymore. I work as a trucking dispatcher. On
Jan. 21st I will be 53 years old. I have only one living relative. He is 83
years old and gravely ill. I doubt if he lives much longer.

I am a recluse. I go nowhere but to church. My life is my children when they
come to visit and my grandchildren. I learned enough from the last marriage to
know I dont want to do it again.

Can you let a dead man rest? I ask you, do not bring my dead family into this.

I knew it would come to this eventually, as it is you M.O. You can say what
ever, BUT, Monday, is the final day of my billing cycle on AOL and I am gone.
You will have to snail mail me, but you got my PO Box number?

Like I said, I will not have my dead family drug thru the mud, so I throw in
the towel.
You can claim this victory of sorts, if that is what you want to call it. I
hand it to you. Are you happy now?
