rfid tag found in wallet?

Someone put an rfid tag in my wallet. It's about the size of a square
bandaid. Why would someone do that, and can I get any info from the
tag to tell who did it. I may have left the wallet in my car and
that's how they got to it? Or maybe the tag was on something I put in
my wallet like a gift card?

It looks old and has the letters 82 in the center. I can post a link
to a picture if that helps.
