Regshot captured a 27.8 Mb (uncompressed) log of system
changes when I installed Malwarebytes. It appears to create a new
user. Maybe someone could repeat the process in a virtual install ....
If I roll back my registry, I'll lose a lot of cracks, I mean,
registry enhancementes.

This is uncorroborated and has not been reproducable and no reports have
been filed in the Mlwarebytes' Forum - Yet.

Dustin.... Shadow posted that Malwarebytes "appears to create a new user."
It should tell the user it is going to that because that's a potential
breach of system security!

Google was NEVER the first and only search engine. The first web
search engine was WebCrawler, followed closely by Lycos with AltaVista
not far behind in 1994. Google didn't exist until 1998 and at that
time it was known as goto.com.

But as usual, he had no idea on what those "greater things"
were. He never mentioned selling data and the NSA.

I've given up on Google as a search engine. It cannot find
anything anymore, it's like Dustin's old tagline (slightly adapted).

I searched Google for "laxatives"
Hit "I'm Feeling Lucky"
Results:
"Can you drive a truck?"

I'm Binging and Yandexing now.

Not Bill, it was Al "information superhighway" Gore. Bill Gates

Its not reproducable. People have tested MBAM v2 with System Restore w/o
consequences. Yet we know that there are times that one may try to restore
from a System Restore break point and it fails. There has to be a
connection, and action and a reaction and it has not been established that
MBAM2 inhibits restoration from a System Restore break point.

If you have done it, post the process and lets see if it is reproducible.

I'm sorry you feel that way Dustin.

In actuality it was tested outside of Malwarebytes by some "critical"
testers. I write critical because they are VERY dipleased wikth this
release and if it was confirmed it would have been a critical fault they
would have used against the Malwarebytes crew. But, it wasn't confirmed.

That's a fact. That's one reason they cull the database of old sigs no
longer getting detections.
{ At least that's the excuse. ;-) }

I told Marcin that Malwarebytes has "lost its way" and that was prior to
v2.0 even being put to Beta. They seemed to have ignored the Beta responses
and created an artificial and fixed release date whether MBAM v2.0 was ready
for market or not.
