So I'm new to Omnimix.

I don't undestand the procedure/steps to send a message via Yamn.

I'm getting the following error message in the Mailer:

"Error sending the Mailer message. Sending error (anon) Yamn encryption
failed.
Yamn returned no files."

How do I fix this please?

In article <666cb6bb5c236033...@dizum.com> Nomen Nescio
Are remailer status data downloaded correctly?
Does Mixmaster work and send data?
What's listed at the MixData tab on the right?

You may try the following - the hard way:

Add a "0.mxt" file to OM's "mix\om" folder containing

----------------------------------------
To: mai...@domain.invalid
Subject: Dummy Message

This is a dummy message.
----------------------------------------

then launch a CLI and from within OM's mix folder execute

"yamn.exe -m -c 5 -l *,*,*,*,* om\0.mxt".

With Zax's 64-bit yamn (lacking a 32-bit version) running on Win32 for
example I got

| c:\Program Files\OmniMix\mix>yamn.exe -m -c 5 -l *,*,*,*,* om\0.mxt
| This version of o:\OmniMix_IDE\Projects\OmniMix\mix\yamn.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.
|
| c:\Program Files\OmniMix\mix>

without any output at the mix\pool folder, whereas OM's obviously 32-bit
version should give you

| c:\Program Files\OmniMix\mix>yamn.exe -m -c 5 -l *,*,*,*,* om\0.mxt

I'm also interested in official Windows binaries of the latest Yamn
version signed by its maintainer Zax, but they aren't anywhere to be
found. Need a URL, please!

Zax's latest yamn.exe (jul 3 2021) can be found on his website, unsigned
though.

For the Yamn binary to work properly it needs a mix.cfg file in the same
directory. Here is one that you can use.

CORRECTION: It needs a yamn.cfg file:

It needs to be configured to put out its version? That's weird.

That one is better.

Internally YAMN uses m...@nowhere.invalid, IIRC and defining an
OutboundAddy is only required for exit Remailers, AFAIR.

You can test it when you set Outfile to true.

Just for completeness' sake, as the subject refers to OmniMix:
- OM would overwrite modified yamn.cfg files
- it completely reformats each yamn packet preserving only its
-----REMAILER MESSAGE----- portion
- it takes care of statistics retrieval and message forwarding
ignoring transport-related yamn.cfg settings
