EXCEPT if you're being migrated to earthlink. In that case, there's
something at the mail server level that forwards it to earthlink before it
even gets to your .forward file. That's what happened to me, which sucks
because I cancelled my account and told them not to do it.

It's quite simple,
in your home directory, create a file called .forward
and in that file put the line
Not long after the first spam arrives you should receive a call
from support offering to help you set up your .forward file.
They might be a little testy though. :-)
Simplicity itself:
Use whatever suits your fancy to get a file named ".forward" (The period
is important) that contains the address you want mail to be forwarded
to. So if you want to forward to George...@SpacelySprockets.com then
that's exactly what you'd put in the file.

Don't hold your breath...
I've got a feeling that pigs will fly (see Note 1) LONG before something
like that would happen, regardless of how many complaints they might get.
Note 1: Given enough thrust, *ANYTHING* will fly. It's a fundamental law
of aerodynamics, although I can't remeber who it's named after now.
Strap enough engines to it, and the QE2 would make a passable, albeit
rather clumsy, aircraft. I'm talking about pigs flying under their own
power.
I've got a definite feeling there is no priment.

Which is interesting, because just yesterday, I anonymously ftp'd to
ftp.primenet.com and saw that my ftp directory with all the files was
still up and active- along with everyone else's.
can't get into www, though- says the server is too busy and may be
refusing connections (Fetch)

I see it as more of a reminder that despite
all the promises of restoring the shell hosts
to their state prior to being ripped out to
make room for the 'unexpected' OC-48 terminal
(three racks worth of current sucking hardware)
well... it's just another example of nothing
ever getting done.
Kind of like everything pretty much still being
active there even after they sold you all off to
Dirtlink. I suppose they're so busy counting
the money from that deal to have any time left
to waste on stuff like shutting the old system
down.

Frontier would hardly be the first batch of bozos that overlooked
ftp access to stuff they've already purposefully offed elsewhere....
But - now that it's been mentioned here, work quickly...!!
Billy Y..
They couldn't be bothered to pay any attention to the Primenet platform back
when tens of thousands of customers were using it, why should they start now?
:(
