I know how Obama can assure himself of re-election and fix the economy in
two weeks:
1. declare auto, home and industrial petroleum use a public utility
necessary for the livlihood of the nation and its citizens
2. use an Executive Order to remove all middle-man (speculation) in
public use oil sales
3. revoke the Reagan gas tax hike
4. require the oil companies to justify price increases before they
are implemented
5. support the overthrowing of the rich oil families; ensure these
families are replaced by democracies; ensure those democracies establish
federal-level oil pricing standards for the good of their country's economy and
the countries they sell to
Oil prices will immediately drop. People and employing companies will have
more money to spend. Spending money will instantly resolve most if not all state
and local government deficits, and go a long way to helping to returning the
federal income based on pump tax to income based on sales tax.
If it is possible to get Obama off the golf course long enough to even
consider these options, that you be an accomplishment in itself...
