Irene Nash was on the floor with a dislocated shoulder, broken nose and
facial injuries while an ambulance crew sat 200 yards away.
Control room staff had told them not to treat Mrs Nash until police arrived.
Her niece, Julia Kidd, 48, said they only agreed to help when she threatened
to carry her aunt, from St Clements, Oxford, to them.
She said "They thought the robber might still be in the area and could
attack the paramedics. She was covered in blood and thought she was dying.
I was banging on the door begging them to help but they refused."
Oxfordshire ambulance service said there was "a breakdown in communication"
and have launched an investigation.
Thames Valley police said they were tied up dealing with a knife-wielding
woman.
