I received my very firstest Philip K. Dick book by mail a few weeks ago - a
primer to start, too many to choose from - along with my bukowski and others
that i have always loved....

Thank you, bless you, and carry on....

Love,
The eternal truckstress....

Take it from a Dickhead of forty years' standing, there is
no book which is a good one to start with. We've had
debates on the PKD newsgroups, and we can never
make up our minds. You just drop in on his world,
bearing in mind that some of his greatest work has
elements of hard-to-take hack writing, and let it flow.

Did you know people are voting for you on that
stupid bestandworst site? Are you putting them
up to it? (I mean, I'd vote for you on merit, but the site is so lame
that it's good for a laugh.)

After many bathtub readings, i have determinded that this is a man i should
have read many years ago.... I understand his slant and i empathize with his
psychotic concerns... I would have never heard of him without y'all...

never heard of it - i didn't know i meritted a vote in any realm... i guess
i'd be flattered or offended if i understood what the site was, but naw, i
ain't puttin' nobody up to nuttin'.... i always wanted to be a famous usenut
kook, but never worked hard enough at it to make it happen (to my
knowledge).... I guess i should be flattered in some sense, that means that
my ramblings and rants have gone into some trap somewhere... heh...

sorry... took the day off work to be mentally disabled and otherwise
intoxicated...

But am enjoying the PKD reader, especially the extremely Rod Serlingish
stories....

Here's a taste of how much weirder it's going to get:

You've got some fans.

The stories are really a good place to start. The Hollywood people have
actually shown good sense in adapting them rather than the novels.
The novels are still waiting for a director of genius to somehow get
them onto the screen.
