Posting graphics?

I'm working on some artwork. I want to scan and convert to .gif or .jpg
format and then post it to unsuspecting newsgroups that have no desire
to see it and don't allow binaries to be posted there. I thought
perhaps I'd start here. But I don't know how to post such pictures to a
newsfroop. And the people you are trying to piss off generally don't
want to help you. Then it struck me that alt.pouting.sandwich could be
the one place where vandals and vagrants such as I aspire to be could
find help.
Any takers?

Post away, but cross to alt.surrealism too. Tell them the
pix represent your *personal* definition of surrealism.
That will be a good start in pissing people off.
All you need to do is save your scans as a .jpg (could
be a .gif too, but .jpgs are smaller.) Then you just
attach it to your post the same as for e-mail by just
using the "Attach File" command. (If your Newsreader
doesn't let you do that, you *definitely* need to
upgrade.) That's all there is to it.
Hey, jaZZ, I saw a reference somewhere, and I stupidly
forgot to note where, about a newsgroup dedicated to
a non-existent cat, with all sorts of surrealist-type
overtones. Is that where .wille came from?

I believe you are thinking of alt.werner.heisenberg. Or perhaps you ran
across sci.schrodinger.cat.
It's hard to say. As to .willie, I think that our mutual Internet
coincidental friend just put it up, newgrouping it for the best reason
of all. No reason. Just to explore and see what would happen. Pretty
much the only motivation I have. That, and on some bizarre level, I
feel that .willie in real life might be channeling a toaster dog.
