Seeking NY-based potential family members and psychology experts to join a non-biological kin making project:
"Kin Makers” is a streaming reality series that seeks to make (a) real life famil(y/ies) based on making good relations and non-natal/non-biological kin.* This project seeks to explore and document alternative forms of kin making.

"Kin Makers" is an independent/small production started by an artist who believes that making alternative forms of kin should be available to everyone and visible to those who want to see examples. Ideal cast member applicants are willing to travel to NY (Brooklyn/Queens) 1-2x per week for production.
With the help of the “Kin Makers” Team, the cast will explore what the future of family can be while embarking on a journey to form a family of their own with their fellow cast members. While carefully getting to know one another, cast members will learn from one another, unpack their own psychology and group dynamics. The family-to-be will have opportunities to collectively consider the family models that may have been imposed on them and establish new bonds. This opportunity has potential for you to find real love and platonic lifelong relationships. Cast members will determine what they want from family and have an opportunity to pursue it on “Kin Makers.”
This is an opportunity to explore on camera the ways of making family beyond the nuclear model. Dating shows and apps allow users to find partners, but this show is where cast members will come who are looking for family. “Kin Makers” documents the journ(ey/ies) of making (an) alternative famil(y/ies). In addition to individual testimonial-style interviews, to-be-family members and experts will be filmed getting to know one another in date-like scenarios and in group discussions.
