You've got to hear this. A teacher jumps all over students for asking
questions about Obama.

Teaches today have to scale student's grades to pass them, it apparent
many teachers got through teachers college with scaled grades, they are
incompetent to teach the subjects they supposedly specialize in.
My 42 year old daughter is in community college studying for a career
as a medical assistant. She just took a test and according to the instructor
she missed two questions and received a grade of 92. My daughter
showed the instructor in the text book where she had answered the
questions correctly. The instructor said she would credit her for the two
answers and give her a grade of 98. My daughter pointed out the since
she had all the answers right the grade should be 100. The instructor
argues otherwise.
Can't do math I guess.

not? BTW: YOU have NO idea how 'the folk there' actually live because a

surrounding marshes. I been all over the foot hills of WNC as well. (We'r
welcome to places other folk have to call ahead to keep from being shot for
treapassering) As to knowing what happens on the other side of town I did a
few years as guardian ad litum in family court in the UniFour Area of NC
which is slap up along side of Rowan County. So yes I've seen the
underbelly of the area as well.
As to the tape I've yet to find one that has not been cut and presumably
edited.
During the Bush admin a similar (and no there is not sufficient information
to know how similar) incident happened not far from the Salisbury school
system.
The kid, not the teacher was disciplined.
When the dust settled the problem was a) not the teacher and
b) not the student(s) but someone in the school admin.
Keep in mind this is not too far from that Baptist Church where the preacher
took it upon himself to kick out of the church anyone that was a Democrat or
who would not support GWB. In the end blood was thicker than the water in
the baptismal as the preacher was handed his walking papers.
I'm a firm believer that you get what you inspect not what you expect. So
far I've not seen enough hard information to do a decent job of inspecting
what's claimed.
I'm planning a road trip to NC in a week or so to taken care of family
business. I intend to ask some questions if the opportunity presents.
Need I mention we have a branch of the family that has lived in the area
(NC) since before the War (Revolutionary if you want to be exact). Some say
(I've found no hard copy evidence) that there are Cherokee roots in part of
the family tree.
