You've had a chance to watch "The FIve" a good while now. At first,
Dana Perino seemed a bit withdrawn. Dana has blossomed since those
early days.

So, without further ado, if you've watched The Five with Dana Perino.,
take a good guess, but a serious one, as to what you would estimate
Dana's IQ to be.

Next, there are seven members of The Five. Which one has the highest
IQ in your estimation?

Dana Perino
Eric Bolling
Greg Gutfeld
Bob Beckel
Andrea Tantaros
Kimberly Guilfoyle
Juan Williams

All of them up there, in the top 1% Probably true of most people in
jobs/situations like that I'd think.. Same wtih top politicians...
Although, they might not be too far up the 1%.. Other things might
count for more, IQ tests don't measure.. Not insulting Muslims
unnecessarily, which GW Bush was good at, as well as Obama (maybe a
little too much.., too much bowing..)

I'm no expert at estimating though.. Or on the subject in general..
Just know what i read in the newspapers..

Supposedly, Norman Schwartzkopf, who was the major general in charge
of GUlf War I, has an IQ essentially off the scales.. Probably, most
generals that high up are in that ballpark.. from major countries..

Sometimes these TV people say some stuff that seems dumb, but that's
just because they're mortals like all of us. The human brain is only
so big... But, they're smart..

OTOH, a dumb guy or gal in skid row is pretty smart too.. in a lot of
ways.. and knows more than some with super-high IQ's, and some of
those people are up there too probably.. just their livers, or some
pathogen or addiction lays them low..

Smarts isn't everything anyway..

My dogs are darn smart.. IMO.. Unless people spend time with their
dogs, they probably don't realize how smart they are.. How human in
many ways.. Dogs learn into the many hundreds of words, and IMO can
understand new sentences, complex ideas by word strings... (not too good
at vocalizing those though...) However, pantomime usually works for
them.. if their owners pay attention..

Anyway, no matter how smart, nobody's here on this planet too long..

Dogs, even less, although with luck they live 20 years... if not too
big.. Humans, 90..

(now my leftist enemies will start hating dogs I bet.. try to attack
me that way.. evil evil..)

Maybe I say too much..

Note, I edited a few of the previous posting to show my estimation of IQ
of a few.. But, I'm no expert... I may be WAY off, or right on.. I'd
guess, way off more likely.. but I do have some knowledge of the subject,
just not much..

Might also say.. the US idea, all equal before God, I think makes some
sense... (might be literally true...)

A person with Down's Syndrome and low IQ (and I know some, and believe
it) might be as valued by God (assuming God exists - I think so) he cares
as much about the Down's syndrome person as Einstein... Maybe, as much
for a fetus, who knows? I don't..

OTOH, no question that Bill Gates provides more to the economy than I
do.. But, at the same time, I think some of our intellectual property
laws might not be perfect, but no expert.. Mickeysoft seems kind of
trashy to me, but they probably helped the computer industry a whole
bunch. It's never perfect, always something, as Gilda Radner used to
say.. 10 steps forwards, 4 steps back..

Mickey's going down lately, and maybe Apple a bit too. Linux/Unix seems
on the rise, which makes more sense from my perspective. Good the market
decides, IMO. Particularly if not too many guns are pointed at people..
(probably need some I imagine.. protect the Crown Jewels, etc.)

not to say, dogs aren't incredibly intelligent - just that wolves

I imagine that people who live somewhat intimately with chimpanzees or

yes, even a gorilla is not as intelligent/capable in some ways as a human

Enhance everything, thinking, remembering, recording, library searches

I don't know how the Catholic Church will feel about it all..

Dana Perino is one smart gal, but she'll be a lot more so when she can
call up wikipeida or google with just a thought... Eventually, the
mental processing will also be enhanced.. Perhaps eventually, quantum

I might also say, having wolves as pets is probably not a good idea...
Maybe, even half-wolves..

They don't have the qualities that enables them to live with humans
ideally... They're more suited to living with other wolves.. Dogs are
bred over thousands of years by our ancestors to live with us..

Actually, not just bred by our ancestors. We're bred by the wolves, and
the wolves are bed by us.. Co-evolution..

OTOH, I'm sure some people do fine having wolves or half wolves as
companions.. Our ancient ancestors did for sure.. Just not something
I'd try out unless I had no choice... When we have great dogs for
that.. Smarts/etc. isn't everything..

Dumb people get exotic pets and then the pets just end up dead.. Or
even worse things happen occasionally..

Still, probably good in some cases.. Not for me..

Probably can add to the domestic stocks some..

This thread is about intelligence, and wolves are smart.. but so are
dogs if not in all ways as much.. Smart enough.. Maybe more where it
counts.. as companions..

Sure, why do dogs have to be as smart as wolves? We humans provide
some extra smarts, as part of the companionship.. Totaling more
than the wolves have.

In terms of "attack" power, many human dogs were bed to kill wolves.
Although, today happily not so many... Sadly, in that wolves aren't
about as much in the wild.. Yet, good to that too.. Complex..

They're coming back in the Pacific Northwest states.. Hopefully, our big
dogs won't kill them..

The wolves likely do a lot of good since people don't hunt as much as they
used to. Wolves probably do a better job there.. keeping the deer/etc.
evolving right..

Still, nice if humans can do what they did for eons.. Often, along with
our dogs..

With reasonable balance..

Hopefully, the wolves, dogs, humans all end up in a life beyond together..

The native peoples seemed to think so, and that's all of us ultimately..
going back a ways..

When I was still wasting money on cable, The Five was an idiotic round
table show on Fox "News" where four dunces would sit around Dana "I
don't know what the cuban missile crisis was" Perino and blame
president Obama, president Clinton, president Carter, Barney Frank or
other randomly chosen liberals for whatever happened to be going to
hell in the world on that particular day. None of them ever came
across as particularly smart or even informed, and Greg Gutfeld, who
thought he was hip or funny or something, was neither. Normally I
wouldn't count Bob Beckel as a dunce, but regularly appearing on a
stupid ass show like that makes him a bit of a suspect. One or two of
them were lawyers, which might make you think they must have something
on the ball, until you remember that Geraldo Rivera, Star Jones, Dan
Quayle and his mushwit son are also all lawyers.

George W. Bush Is Smarter than You

By Keith Hennessey - April 25, 2013

The new George W. Bush Presidential Center is being dedicated this week.
This seems like a good time to bust a longstanding myth about our former
President, my former boss.

I teach a class at Stanford Business School titled “Financial Crises in
the U.S. and Europe.” During one class session while explaining the
events of September 2008, I kept referring to the efforts of the
threesome of Hank Paulson, Ben Bernanke, and Tim Geithner, who were
joined at the hip in dealing with firm-specific problems as they arose.

One of my students asked “How involved was President Bush with what was
going on?” I smiled and responded, “What you really mean is, ‘Was
President Bush smart enough to understand what was going on,’ right?”

The class went dead silent. Everyone knew that this was the true meaning
of the question. Kudos to that student for asking the hard question and
for framing it so politely. I had stripped away that decorum and exposed
the raw nerve.

I looked hard at the 60 MBA students and said “President Bush is smarter
than almost every one of you.”

More silence.

I could tell they were waiting for me to break the tension, laugh, and
admit I was joking.

I did not. A few shifted in their seats, then I launched into a longer
answer. While it was a while ago, here is an amalgam of that answer and
others I have given in similar contexts.

I am not kidding. You are quite an intelligent group. Don’t take it
personally, but President Bush is smarter than almost every one of you.
Were he a student here today, he would consistently get “HP” (High Pass)
grades without having to work hard, and he’d get an “H” (High, the top
grade) in any class where he wanted to put in the effort.

(*) Obvious money transfers between the taxpayers and Bush's moneyed

money just gets moved around and nobody (on either side) gets injured or
killed. That will be an accomplishment of which we will be justly proud.

Yes, you do deserve credit for estimating that most people on The Five
and in the media are in the top 1 percent of US IQ scores.

GW's IQ is 125 according to an article from a few years ago. That
means he is smarter than most people, but not smarter than all
chatters in this thread.

If you look up jobs and the IQ required to do them, you will be
shocked. Believe it or not, some MD's have scored as low as 95. IQ
does not change much over a life span, thus these MD's made it through
medical school with a lower than average IQ.

In my opinion, most people in the media would score less than 120 on
IQ tests with some obvious exceptions. Both Rush Limbaugh and Bill
O'Reilly score in the mid 140s, and their abilities are very obvious.
Democrat Mr Weiner seems to have an IQ of about 85 which is typical of
certain races in the USA. Barney Frank seems to have an IQ equal to
Satan's which is very high and he will be sparing with Bill O'Reilly
on Friday's The Factor. Don't miss it

Here are some interesting stats:

Top 2% (98th percentile; 1/50; IQ 130 sd15 / 132 sd16):
Mensa International
Top 1% (99th percentile; 1/100; IQ 135 sd15 / 137 sd16):
Intertel
Top 0.1% (99.9th percentile; 1/1,000; IQ 146 sd15 / 149 sd16):
International Society for Philosophical Enquiry
One-in-a-Thousand Society
Triple Nine Society
Top 0.003% (99.997th percentile; 1/30,000; IQ 160 sd15 / 164
sd16):
Prometheus Society
Top 0.0001% (99.9999th percentile; 1/1,000,000; IQ 171 sd15 / 176
sd16):
Mega Society

I scored 93 on that in 1973 at age 17. Came out of the test with a 103 degree fever, body shaking. My TI had told me that unless I maxed it, he would send me to a motivation platoon.

In 1995 when heavily doped on Haldol to the drooling point, I scored IQ 135 under shrink supervision on a standardized test, my lowest score ever.
