Russia Changes Tactics - "Insane" Concentrations of Troops/Weapons

Russia has poured “an insane number of fighters and equipment”
into Luhansk to flatten the last of the Ukrainian resistance
in northern Donbas, the region’s governor has warned.

Serhiy Haidai warned that Severodonetsk, the last Ukrainian-held
city in Luhansk, risked being turned into another Mariupol, the
southern port city which Russian forces virtually razed to the
ground during a two-month siege.

“The Nazis [Russians] brought an insane number of fighters and
equipment to our region,” the governor said in a post on the
Telegram messaging app.

“The orcs keep helicopters and heavy weapons ready in the
occupied territories.”

In a bid to secure a major battlefield victory, Russian troops
have attempted to surround the neighbouring cities of
Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, whose capture would give Moscow
control more than half of the eastern Donbas region.

Encircling the remaining pockets of Ukrainian resistance
would essentially sever any resupply lines from Kyiv into
the area.

Perhaps a better battle tactic given the situation in
Ukraine. Concentrate, seize, move on and repeat. The
locals have supply issues, which makes it easier to
surround and cut off cities one by one.

Downside, it also makes for a high concentration of
TARGETS the Ukrainians can have fun with.

The best tact for Ukraine - more stand-off weapons.
Even smallish drones would do. More artillery. If
the Rus create a ring of steel, don't bang your head
on the thing - chip chip chip away instead. Russia
likely can't sustain this heavy use of people and
supplies either ... so stall them for even a little
while and you've won.

before poking and taunting the Russian bear.

It is not Zelensky's fault in losing Crimea to Russia and two Donbas
regions to separatists in 2014, but he made this invasion happen because
of his words and actions since he was catapulted from just a TV clown
into his presidency in 2019.

"Big Guy" ... he already said it outright - Russia to
be "degraded" to the point it cannot entertain imperial
ambitions again for a very long time.

Little Guy ... well, he has no choice here, he HAS to keep
stabbing the Bear. He will suffer most of the material
losses but it's WORTH it as far as he's concerned.

And Zel ... he's done just fine. The right person in the
right place at the right time. He's gonna rate a BIG
statue for posterity.
