"unlike anywhere else...?" Please! A substantial number of Habitat built
homes wind up being either a public nuisance dwelling, condemned or vacated

"Worked side by side to build..." , that is too rich! Hell, if they helped
empty the lunch pail at break time they did more then most of the "new
owners". The volunteers work their asses off building the place and in order
to get a photo op of the tenant's "sweat equity" they have to go find and
corral one of these welfare queens, drag her ass away from the Jerry
Springer show and stick a hammer in her hand long enough to snap a picture
or two. Of course you try not to show the backless carpet slippers on her
ashy
feet and tell them to wipe the damned Cheez Whiz off her jaw, but hey, it is
for a good cause.
