pockets of corrupt congress people. There is tremendous inefficiency
in the entire oil sector. Let us target how to remove this corruption
and inefficiency. STates are managing their meagre resources much
better. Most definitely the BJP ruled states. So, the people don't
mind paying their state taxes as they know the money is being
judiciously spent. HOwever, its the immense mismanagement of the state
run oil firms which is leading to this kind of loot perpetrating. By
raising money not only is the money not being collected as taxes but
it is going directly in the pockets of inefficently run oil firms and
a lot of the money is also being siphoned off by corrupt congress
leaders by overinvoicing the crude. So, the problem lies here. Why
should states be made to suffer due to the mismanagement and
inefficiency of the congress party. In fact states need more control
over their resources not less. WE need states to garner more revenue
from thier citizens and its the centre which must be made to get less
taxes from the states. OUr country must move towards more federalism
where states have more power and control over its own resources. The
congress party is trying to move India towards the opposite direction
and this will actually lead to more tension and more imbalances in our
country. The way forward is for the congress party to get booted out
otherwise the very future of India is in danger.
